ماهیان سردابی:
دسته‌ای دیگر از ماهیان که در آب‌هایی با درجه حرارت پایین و سرد (درجه حرارت بین 0 تا 25 درجه)، قادر به ادامه‌ی حیات و تولیدمثل هستند ماهیان سردابی قلمداد می‌شود. این دسته از ماهیان نیز مانند ماهیان گرمابی، اگر درجه حرارت آب محل زندگی‌شان تغییر یابد ادامه‌ی حیات برایشان مشکل‌ساز و حتی موجب مرگ و نابودی ماهی خواهد شد.
ماهی قزل آلا در دسته‌ی ماهیان سردابی قرار دارد و با توجه به خصوصیات بارزی که دارد، بهترین نوع ماهی برای پرورش شناخته شده است. پرورش ماهی قزل آلا در مناطقی از کشور که دارای شرایط لازم برای پرورش هستند و البته دارای منابع آبی خوبی نیز باشند با وجود افراد متخصص در این زمینه، بسیار بالاست. تبریز، یکی از مناطق پرورشی ماهی قزل آلا سردابی‌ست که با وجود شرایط لازم جهت پرورش، جزء یکی از پرفروش‌ترین مناطق در زمینه‌ی ماهی قزل آلا شناخته شده است.
